I was looking at the most recent
Congressional
Approval Rating this afternoon, and my first thought was, “garbage in,
garbage out.” If insanity had a political trend line, then I bet it would look
like the graphic above. It’s obvious that there is a problem.
Do you like losing your investments to those seeking
short-term gains? I don’t.
Do you like losing your job due the decisions of government
regulators? I don’t.
Do you like fighting shooting wars that cannot be won? I don’t.
Do you like being in debt? I don’t.
Do you like spending and “paying for it” ten years from
whenever? I don’t.
Do you like getting “bossed” by the administrative state? I don’t.
Do you like “their rights” forced upon you without regard to
your rights? I don’t.
Speaking only for myself, I am
100% disgusted with the entire Congressional population. I did not vote for
anyone to get rich at my expense (I contribute to a salary whether they work or
not), to ignore me by hanging up the phone (I don’t care if it was a staffer or
not), or to dictate to me how I am to manage my personal property (I don’t care
how healthy you think I should be). I can go on and on. I bet between you and
me, we can come up with a list that can gift wrap the globe.
Perhaps the Congress just
doesn’t get why they were made stewards of the American way in the first place?
If you believe the contrary, then I have news for you.
You are dead wrong!
You, the citizen, are ultimately
responsible for the government and its actions. Deferring this to others is
stupidity in action. Deferring your business to decision-makers who pay no
price for being wrong is not only stupid, it’s dangerous.
Think about it? If Congressmen
were true to their oaths and beyond corruption, then would less than 11% of
Americans approve of their overall performance?
Going Forward
It’s time to claim ownership of
what is ours, The American way of life. Its elected and appointed stewards
should be afraid of the People, not the other way around. It’s time to break
the “garbage in, garbage out” cycle.
If the government is too big for proper stewardship, then
reduce the government.
If an agency is abusive, then abolish it.
Do you really need their brand of C.R.A.P. (Coercive,
Ridiculous, Absurd, and Pointless)?
I can hear it now, “It’s the
government. They are going to get what they want anyway.” Just what are you
saying? What do you have to lose that the government isn’t already prepared to
take whether you’re with the program or not?
Your money (how are you with taxes, fees, fines, charges,
adjustments, etc.)?
Your future (how many trillions of reasons to you need)?
Your property (how about eminent domain, seizure,
collections)?
Your business (you better take care that you don’t hurt the feelings
of “special status” customers)?
Your time (where are you on prison time for non-violent
possessions)?
Your liberty to choose (better hope your personal life
doesn’t appear to inhibit someone’s personal life)?
Enough is enough. If they won’t
“police up their garbage,” then we are going to have to do it for them. How?
Let’s start by let anyone’s “garbage out” be the next “garbage in.”Your View
